Dal Verme’s Farm

Farm of Camillo and Filippo Dal Verme

The award-winning Dal Verme Farm, which has been active for 100 years, is located at Torre degli Alberi, a village on the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, 500 meters above sea level. The surrounding countryside is typical of the Apennine area: soft undulations, mountains in the background, woods of pines, oaks, chestnuts and hawthorne hedges, vineyards, meadows and cultivated fields.

The farm, which has organic certification, is not only active in viticulture and the production of spumante, but has also been raising partially free-range Limousine cattle for forty years: they are out to pasture for six months and live in open shelters for the other six, where calving takes place.

Hens are also raised to produce chicks of high genetic quality.

Surrounding the farm activities are diverse hectares of mixed woods that are periodically cleared.
